To import LogicLock^™ region assignments and other entity assignments into a new project:  Read This First

1. Export one or more Entity Settings Files (.esf) from other projects into the new project directory.

2. Create or open the new project.

3. Select a specific target device from the APEX^™ 20K, APEX^™ II, ARM^®-based Excalibur^™, Cyclone^™, Mercury^™, Stratix^™, or Stratix^™ GX device families.

4. Perform analysis and elaboration.

5. If you want to import assignments from an ESF that does not have the same name as the entity to which the assignments should apply in the current project, assign the ESF as the LogicLock Import File Name for the entity.

6. Open the LogicLock Regions window.

7. Choose Import LogicLock Regions Window (Assignments menu).

8. Under Assignment Categories, select the type of assignments that you want to import.

9. If you do not want to import pin assignments, turn off Import pin assignments.

10. If you chose to import LogicLock region assignments under Assignment Categories, select Create new LogicLock regions, but do not update the currently selected LogicLock region(s) under LogicLock import settings.

11. Click OK.
