To export LogicLock^™ region assignments and other entity assignments to an Entity Settings File (.esf) that can be imported into other projects:  Read This First

1. If you have not already done so, open the project that contains the assignments that you want to export.

2. If you have not already done so, select a specific target device from the APEX^™ 20K, APEX^™ II, ARM^®-based Excalibur^™, Cyclone^™, Mercury^™, Stratix^™, or Stratix^™ GX device families.

3. If you have not already done so, perform analysis and elaboration.

4. Open the LogicLock Regions window.

5. Choose Export LogicLock Regions Window (Assignments menu).

6. If you want to export only assignments belonging to a lower-level entity in the current compilation hierarchy, drag the entity from the Compilation Hierarchies list in the Project Navigator to the Export focus full hierarchy path box, or type the entity's full hierarchical path name in this box.

7. In the File name box, type the path and file name of the ESF, or select the file name with Browse (...).

8. Click OK.
