The Entity Settings File (.esf) is an ASCII file for customizing the settings for a design entity, such as logic options, timing requirements, and cliques. The settings in an ESF apply to all instances of the entity that exist in the project, but not to the entire project. An ESF can contain settings that apply to subentites instantiated within that entity. You can have one ESF per entity.
An ESF can contain some or all of the sections listed below. Sections are listed in the order in which they are normally used.
(
<user-defined clique name>)
(
<project name>)
(
<eda_design_synthesis, eda_simulation, eda_timing_analysis>)
(
<LogicLock region name>)
