The Third Party EDA Tools section specifies the name of the EDA design entry tool or the EDA synthesis tool used to generate a design file, or it specifies the name of the EDA design entry tool, the EDA synthesis tool, or the timing analysis tool used with a project. Only one design entry or synthesis tool can be specified for a file. The Third Party EDA Tools section is located in the Entity Settings File (.esf) and the Project Settings File (.psf). In an ESF, you can specify only one design entry or synthesis tool, however in a PSF you can specify a design entry tool, a synthesis tool, and a timing analysis tool. If the Third Party EDA Tools section is specified in both the ESF and PSF, the entity level setting in the ESF overrides the PSF setting.
