To create a LogicLock^™ region:

1. If you have not already done so, open an existing project.

2. Choose Settings (Assignments menu).  Shortcut

3. In the Category list, select Device under Compiler Settings.

4. Select a specific target device from the APEX^™ 20K, APEX^™ II, ARM^®-based Excalibur^™, Cyclone^™, Mercury^™, Stratix^™, or Stratix^™ GX device families.

5. Open the Timing Closure floorplan.  More Details

6. Click the Create New LogicLock Region button on the toolbar.  

7. In the Floorplan Editor, click any empty space to define the starting point of a rectangular region and drag the pointer until the region is the desired size.

8. If you want to view or edit the region's properties, right-click the region's title bar and choose Properties (right button pop-up menu).  More Details  More Details

Alternative Procedure for Creating a LogicLock Region

To delete a LogicLock region:

1. Open the Current Assignments floorplan or open the Timing Closure floorplan.

2. Select the LogicLock region you want to delete.

3. Choose Delete (right button pop-up menu).

To delete an entity or node from a LogicLock region:

1. Open the Current Assignments floorplan or open the Timing Closure floorplan.

2. Select the LogicLock region whose assignments you want to delete.

3. Choose Delete (Edit menu).
