To make individual timing assignments:

1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

2. Open the Assignment Organizer dialog box.

3. Click the By Node tab.

4. Under Mode, select Edit specific entity & node settings for.

5. In the Name box, type a node name and/or wildcard character that identifies the node(s) you want to assign, or copy one or more node names to the Name box with the Node Finder dialog box.

6. If necessary, turn on Show assignments inherited from higher hierarchical levels & project defaults.

7. Under Assignment Categories click the + icon next to Timing.

8. Click Click here to add a new assignment.

9. Under Assignment, select the assignment you wish to make in the Name list.

10. To specify the assignment setting, select the appropriate setting in the Setting list, or type the appropriate assignment value in the Setting box.

11. To make a point-to-point assignment, type the source node name in the Fed by box, or click Browse (...) next to the Fed by box and use the Node Finder dialog box to enter the node name.

12. Under Stored in assignments for, select where you want the assignment stored:

    1. Select This instance only, This instance in all occurrences of its parent entity, or Other.

    2. If you selected Other, click Customize if you want to view the hierarchy from the top-level down to the level where the selected item(s) are instantiated.

    3. In the Select Hierarchy dialog box, click OK.

13. Click Add.

14. Click OK or Apply.
