For example, you can dock a dockable window by turning on Enable Docking (right button pop-up menu), selecting the title bar, then dragging the window to any of the four borders of the Quartus II window. You can float a dockable window and have it behave like any other open document window in the Quartus II software by turning on Restrict to Main Window (right button pop-up menu). You can also hide a dockable window by choosing Close (right button pop-up menu).
Finally, there are two ways you can control the size of dockable windows. First, you can expand or contract a dockable window by clicking Expand docked window or Contract docked window, which are buttons located near the upper-left or upper-right corner of the dockable window. Second, you can change the horizontal or vertical size of a dockable window using its window splitters. Specifically, you can point the mouse to the border of a dockable window until the mouse pointer becomes a sizing arrow, then select the splitter bar and drag it until the window is the desired size.
