EPC1441 Configuration Devices

The EPC1441 configuration device is a serial memory device that stores configuration data for SRAM-based Altera® ACEX® 1K, FLEX® 6000, and FLEX 10KE family devices. In SRAM-based devices, the configuration data must be reloaded whenever the system initializes, or whenever you want new configuration data. With a capacity of over 430 Kbits of data, a single EPC1441 device can configure all ACEX 1K, FLEX 6000, or FLEX 10KE devices in a PS configuration scheme.

The Quartus® II software can generate Programmer Object Files (.pof) that you can use to program configuration devices, such as EPC1441 devices.

NOTE

Preliminary support for new device packages may be available for this device. For information on preliminary device support, refer to Quartus II Software Release Notes, available on the Altera web site.

The EPC1441 devices are available in plastic one-time-programmable 8-pin DIP, 20-pin J-lead, and 32-pin TQFP packages. For complete information on the EPC1441 device, refer to the current Configuration Devices for SRAM-Based LUT Devices Data Sheet, which is available from the Literature section of the Altera web site.
