The Altera^® family of configuration devices, including the EPC1, EPC2, EPC4, EPC8, EPC16, and EPC1441 devices, which configure all SRAM-based Altera devices supported by the Quartus^® II software.

Enhanced configuration devices include EPC4, EPC8, and EPC16 configuration devices, which support features such as external clocks, data compression, and multiple pages and configuration bitstreams.

Serial configuration devices include EPCS1 and EPCS4 serial configuration devices, which can be used to configure Cyclone^™ devices in Active Serial Configuration mode.
