You can create and assign nodes or entities to custom regions and to LogicLock regions in the Timing Closure floorplan and the Current Assignments floorplan. You can also edit existing assignments to pins, logic cells, rows, columns, regions, MegaLAB structures, and LABs. The Timing Closure floorplan automatically displays user assignments and fitter placements, and allows you to edit assignments. If you want to edit assignments in the Current Assignments floorplan, you can preserve resource assignments from the current compilation by back-annotating assignments to pins, logic cells, rows, columns, regions, LABs, and MegaLAB structures.
You can edit assignments in the Floorplan Editor in the following ways:
Cut, copy, and paste node and pin assignments to different locations within the floorplan or to regions in the Regions Window.
Cut, copy, and paste node and pin assignments from the Last Compilation floorplan to the Current Assignments floorplan.
Assign a bus or node with the Node Finder to the Floorplan Editor.
Swap the assignments of selected cells in the Last Compilation floorplan or the Current Assignments floorplan.
Demote assignments to selected pin or location assignment(s) to less restrictive assignments, so that the Compiler can more freely rearrange the assignments for greater efficiency.
