Generating Files for HardCopy Devices



To generate HardCopy files for use when converting a supported APEX 20KC, APEX 20KE, or APEX II design for HardCopy devices:

  1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

  2. If you have not already done so, specify Compiler settings for a supported design.

  3. Specify settings for the HardCopy files:

    1. Choose Settings (Assignments menu).  Shortcut

    2. In the Category list, select HardCopy Settings.

    3. To specify project-wide, HardCopy-specific timing requirements, type the timing requirements in the Minimum required Tco, Minimum required Tpd, and Default external clock jitter boxes under HardCopy timing settings.

    4. To direct the Quartus® II software to generate the HardCopy files during compilation, turn on Generate HardCopy files during compilation.

    5. Click OK.

  4. If you have not already done so, specify individual and project-wide timing requirements for the design.

  5. If you want, estimate the power requirements for the design.

  6. Compile the design.

  7. If you turned off Generate HardCopy files during compilation, start generating the HardCopy files by choosing Generate HardCopy Files for Project (Project menu).  Shortcut  More Details

 

To stop the generation of HardCopy files:

Checkmark Choose Stop Processing (Processing menu).  Shortcut
