The Waveform Editor allows you to create and edit input vectors for simulation in waveform format. You can edit the waveform file that is used as stimulus for simulation, and save the changes. For example, you can perform the following edits:
You can change the appearance of waveform files.
You can change the order of the waveforms for simulation and save the input or output waveform file.
You can change the grid size, and snap time bars and area selections to the nearest grid line and transition.
You can edit a waveform or a waveform interval by overwriting or inserting logic levels, repeating a waveform interval pasted to the Clipboard, changing the radix, and changing a node type.
You can perform only limited edits on a waveform file that shows simulation results, such as adding and editing comments, creating and editing time bars, and changing the order of the waveforms. You can open this waveform file in the Waveform View section in the Report Window.
