To insert an HDL, Tcl, or Quartus^® II Tcl template:

1. If you have not already done so, open or create a text file.

2. Define an insertion point for the template, or select the text you want to replace with the template.  More Details

3. Choose Template (Insert menu).  Shortcut

4. If necessary, select AHDL, Quartus II Tcl, Tcl, Verilog HDL, or VHDL in the Show syntax of list.

5. In the Template section list, select a template.

6. In the Preview field, view the code for the template.

7. Click OK.

   or

   In the Template section list, double-click the template name.

8. In the file, replace all variables in the template with your own logic.   More Details
