Report Window

ESB Column Interconnect Section (Compilation Report)

Displays information about the number of lines used by the ESB Column interconnect, which is part of the FastTrack® interconnect and routes signals alongside Embedded System Blocks (ESBs).

If you are using an APEX 20K or ARM®-based Excalibur device, the section displays the number of lines and half-lines (that is, lines that traverse half the device in a vertical direction) used by the column interconnect channels.

If you are using an APEX II device, the section displays the total number of line segments used by the column interconnect channels.

This section is omitted if you specify an ACEX® 1K, Cyclone, FLEX® 6000, FLEX 10KE, MAX® 3000, MAX 7000, Mercury, Stratix, or Stratix GX device for compilation.

Information is provided as follows for APEX 20K and ARM-based Excalibur devices:

Heading Description
Col. Shows the ESB column interconnect channel number.
Lines Available Shows the total number of column interconnect lines that are available for use by signals in the design.
Lines Used Shows the actual number and percentage of column interconnect lines used by signals in the design.
Half-Lines Used Shows the actual number and percentage of column interconnect half-lines used by signals in the design.

Information is provided as follows for APEX II devices:

Heading Description
Col. Shows the ESB column interconnect channel number.
Line Segments Used Shows the total number of column interconnect lines that are available for use by signals in the design.
