Adding or Replacing a Programming File in a JTAG or Passive Serial Chain



To add a Jam File (.jam), Jam Byte-Code File (.jbc), SRAM Object File (.sof), or a Programmer Object File (.pof)) to a JTAG or Passive Serial chain:  Read This First

  1. If you have not already done so, open the Chain Description File (.cdf) you want to edit.

  2. Right-click anywhere in the programming list in the Programmer window, and choose Add File (right button pop-up menu).  Shortcut

  3. In the Select File dialog box, select the file you want to add in the Files list or type a file name in the File name box.

  4. Click Open.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to add more files.  Read This First

Alternative Procedure for Adding a Programming File to a JTAG or Passive Serial Chain

 

To replace a programming file in a JTAG or Passive Serial chain:  Read This First

  1. If you have not already done so, open the Chain Description File (.cdf) you want to edit.

  2. In the File list of the programming list in the Programmer window, right-click the programming file you want to replace, and choose Change File (right button pop-up menu).  Shortcut

  3. In the Select new programming file dialog box, select the file you want in the Files list or type a file name in the File name box.

  4. Click Open.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to replace additional files.  Read This First
