Alternative Procedure for Resetting the Default Settings for the Desktop

To reset the default settings for the entire desktop in the Quartus® II software:

  1. Close the Quartus II software.

  2. At a command prompt, type the following: quartus -reset_desktop Return

  3. Restart the Quartus II software for the change to take place.
