To check for Quartus^® II software updates automatically over the internet each time you start the Quartus II software:

1. Choose Options (Tools menu).

2. Click the Internet Connectivity tab.

3. To receive notification of new software patches, device support, and online Help updates in the Download Center of the Altera^® web site, turn on Check the Altera web site for updates at startup.

4. To receive information about updates to Altera products and partners, turn on Check the Altera web site for new Quartus II information.

5. To receive a prompt before receiving updates at Quartus II software startup, turn on Confirm before connecting to the web.

6. Click OK.
