The following startup options are available from the Internet Connectivity Tab:

| Check the Altera® web site for updates at startup | The Quartus® II software automatically displays the Download Center of the Altera web site, notifies you of new software patches, new device support, and online Help updates, and prompts you to download the latest software upgrades at startup. |
| Check the Altera web site for new Quartus II information |
If you turn on this option, and a new web page is posted to the Quartus II Information Messages page, and you have not viewed the web site for at least 2 weeks, the Quartus II software automatically displays a bitmap to notify you at startup of updates to Altera products and partners. If you turn off this option, or the Information Messages page has not been updated, and/or you have viewed the web site in the last two weeks, the Quartus II software automatically displays a bitmap to allow you to access the Quartus II Information Messages page. |
| Confirm before connecting to web | The Quartus II software automatically brings up a prompt at startup that asks whether you want to check the Altera web site for updates. Click Yes to access the Altera web site or No to cancel the operation. |

Confirm before connecting to web is not available until you turn on Check the Altera web site for updates at startup and/or Check the Altera web site for new information messages. |
