Overview: Using the PALACE Software with the Quartus II Software



You can use the ADT PALACE software to perform design resynthesis on a design after compilation with the Quartus® II software. The PALACE software generates an optimized Verilog Quartus® Mapping File (.vqm) with the options specified in the Resythesis Tool Settings dialog box, which is available from the EDA Tool Settings page of the Settings dialog box (Assignments menu). Once the PALACE software generates the optimized VQM File, it launches the Quartus II software to compile the new, optimized design.
