To program a single device or multiple devices with the MasterBlaster^™, ByteBlasterMV^™, or ByteBlaster^™ II download cable:

1. Open the appropriate Chain Description File (.cdf) that contains the JTAG or Passive Serial chain you set up.

2. Plug the MasterBlaster, ByteBlasterMV, or ByteBlaster II download cable into the system that contains the device(s) to be programmed.

3. Select the appropriate hardware setup for the chain.

4. If necessary, in the Mode list, select JTAG or Passive Serial.

5. Make sure the device name(s) displayed in the Device list of the programming list matches the device(s) installed in the system.

6. If you want, turn on one or more programming options in the programming list.  Read This First

7. Click Start.  Read This First

8. To monitor the progress of programming or other optional action, watch the Progress field on the Programmer window.
