Instead of using the Properties command (Edit menu), you can edit the following Block and Symbol Editor items in place:

• Names of blocks
• Instance names for blocks and symbols
• Names and default values of pins
• Names of connectors
• Names and values of constants
• Comment text

To edit the text of the Block and Symbol Editor items:

1. If you have not already done so, open or create a Block Design File (.bdf) or a Block Symbol File (.bsf).

2. Double-click the text on the Block or Symbol Editor item that you want to change.

3. To overwrite the existing text, type the new name, value, or comment text.

   or

   To edit the existing text, click the text again and either type additional text or delete existing text.

4. Press Enter.  More Details

To enter new comment text:

1. Click the location where you want to insert the comment text.

2. Type the comment text.
