Assigning a Signal to a Device I/O Pin

To assign a signal to a device I/O pin without compiling first:

  1. Choose Settings (Assignments Menu).  Shortcut

  2. In the Category list, select Device under Compiler Settings, and click Assign Pins.

  3. Select the desired device pin from the list.

  4. Type the debug port pin name (for example, auto_stp_debug_out_1_1) in the Pin name box.

  5. Click Add.

  6. Choose Run Analysis (Processing menu), and click Yes when asked if you want to recompile before running the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer. More Details
