In the Tool name list in the EDA Tool Settings page of the Settings dialog box (Assignments menu), you can select Signal Integrity (IBIS) to generate IBIS Output Files (.ibs) or you can select Symbol Generation (Viewdraw) to generate PartMiner edaXML-Format Files (.edaXML) for symbol generation and board-level verification with other EDA tools.

If you select Signal Integrity (IBIS), the Compiler selects the typical RLC values for the pins in the IBIS Output File, or you can click Settings to specify the RLC values.

If you specify a board-level verification tool, the Compiler generates the IBIS Output Files and PartMiner edaXML-Format Files and places them in the <project name>/board/ibis or <project name>/symbols/viewdraw directories, respectively.

If you use the default <none> selection, no settings are defined, and no output files or directories are generated.
