LogicLock Regions

Back-Annotate Contents

Allows you to back-annotate the nodes assigned to a LogicLock region relative to the origin of that region. LogicLock back-annotation allows you to move a LogicLock region to a new location or to export it to another project while maintaining relative placement of nodes within the region.

When you click Back-Annotate Contents, the Quartus® II software copies the locations determined by the Fitter for all nodes and entities assigned to the selected region and its descendant LogicLock regions into the Entity Settings File (.esf) for the top-level entity in the current compilation hierarchy. The Quartus II software demotes node locations to the LAB/Embedded System Block (ESB) level.  More Details
