Existing Assignments
Lists the nodes and assignments for all assignments in the category you selected in Assignment categories. You can sort the information on any column, by clicking on the column heading. The Existing assignments list displays diferent columns for single-point assignments and point-to-point assignments.
The Existing assignments list for single-point assignments contains four columns:
- Assignment File lists <file name>.psf, <file name>.esf, <file name>.ssf, or <file name>.csf, depending on the assignment type.
- Name (Relative Hierarchy Path) lists the name relative to the entity shown in the first column for Entity Settings File (.esf), and the name relative to the current focus entity for Compiler Settings File (.csf) and Simulator Settings File (.ssf). The Existing assignments list leaves the Name column empty for Project Settings File (.psf), because there is no hierarchy.
- Assignment lists the name of the assignment (for example, Turbo Bit).
- Setting lists the setting (for example, On).
The Existing assignments list for point-to-point assignments (that is, timing assignments) contains five columns:
- Assignment File lists <file name>.psf, <file name>.esf, <file name>.ssf, or <file name>.csf, depending on the assignment type.
- Source Name (Relative Hierarchy Path) lists the name relative to the entity shown in the first column for ESFs, and the name relative to the current focus entity for CSFs and SSFs.
- Destination Name (Relative Hierarchy Path) lists the name relative to the entity shown in the first column for ESFs, and the name relative to the current focus entity for CSFs and SSFs.
- Assignment lists the name of the assignment.
- Setting lists the setting (for example, Off).
