Alternative Procedure for Adding Path-based and Wildcard Assignments to a LogicLock Region



To add path-based and wildcard assignments to a LogicLock region by dragging and dropping from the Compilation Report to the Paths dialog box:

  1. If you have not already done so, create a LogicLock region.

  2. If you have not already done so, compile the design.

  3. Open the Register-to-Register Fmax section of the Compilation Report.

  4. Select that path that you want to add to a LogicLock region.

  5. Open the LogicLock Regions window.

  6. Right-click the region, and choose Properties (right button pop-up menu). Shortcut

  7. Click Add Path.

  8. Drag the path from the Compilation Report to the Source name box in the Paths dialog box.

  9. Cut the destination register name from the Source name box.

  10. Paste the destination register name in the Destination name box.

  11. If you want, follow steps 5-11 in Adding Path-based and Wildcard Assignments to a LogicLock Region.

  12. Click OK.

 

To add path-based and wildcard assignments to a LogicLock region from a critical path in the Floorplan Editor:

  1. If you have not already done so, create a LogicLock region.

  2. If you have not already done so, compile the design.

  3. Open the Current Assignments floorplan, open the Last Compilation floorplan, or open the Timing Closure floorplan.

  4. If you have not already done so, specify critical path settings.

  5. Turn on Routing > Show Routing Delays (View menu). Shortcut.

  6. Right click on a path label on a critical path, and choose Properties (right button pop-up menu).

  7. If you want, follow steps 5-11 in Adding Path-based and Wildcard Assignments to a LogicLock Region.

  8. Click OK.
