Chip Section (Settings and Configuration Files)



The Chip section lists the logic that is assigned to an individual device. It declares a chip name, the specific or "AUTO" device to which the chip is assigned, device options for that device, and the logic functions that are assigned to the device. You can edit the Chip section to assign node, bus, and pin names to specific device pins, logic cells, I/O cells, and embedded cells; and to more general locations, including Logic Array Blocks (LAB), Embedded System Blocks (ESB), rows, columns, or anywhere in the chip. The Chip section is located in the Compiler Settings File (.csf).

The Chip section keyword is CHIP(<name of Compiler settings>).

The Chip section requires a unique name, which you type as (<name of Compiler settings>), to identify the name of the Compiler settings. The CSF supports one Chip section for each Compiler setting.

The settings values for the <device>_DEVICE_IO_STANDARD keywords are listed, along with the device availability for each I/O standard, in the I/O standard glossary definition.

The Chip section contains statements that follow these Usage Code definitions.
