To use automatic syntax coloring in a file:
If you have not already done so, open or create a text file.
To change the default color options for syntax coloring:
Choose Options (Tools menu).
In the Category list, select Text Editor Colors.
In the Colors list, select the item whose color you want to change.
In the Current color list, select the new color for the item.
If you want to reset the selected item to its default color, click Reset Color.
If you want to reset all the items in the Colors list to their default colors, click Reset All Colors.
Click OK.
