Inserting, Selecting, or Deleting a Page Break



To insert a page break:

  1. If you have not already done so, open or create a text file.

  2. Define an insertion point for the page break, or select text that you want to replace with the page break.  More Details

  3. Choose Insert Page Break (Edit menu).  Shortcut  More Details

 

To select a page break in an open text file:

Perform one of the following actions.

Mouse/Action: Result:
Click and Hold, Drag, Release Selects page breaks and text from the point where you click the mouse, that is, the insertion point, to the point where you release the mouse.  More Details
Click, Move, Shift+Click Selects page breaks and text from the point where you first click the mouse to the point where you last click the mouse.  More Details

Alternative Procedure for Selecting a Page Break

 

To delete a page break in an open text file:

  1. Select the marker for the page break you want to delete.

    or

    Place the insertion point to the immediate left of the page break marker.

  2. Choose Delete (Edit menu).  Shortcut
