Estimates the power consumed by the current APEX^™ 20KE, APEX 20KC, ARM^®-based Excalibur^™, Mercury^™, or Stratix^™ design during timing simulation. Turning on this option and specifying values under Power estimation period directs the Simulator to calculate and report in milliwatts (mW) the internal power, I/O pin power, and total power consumed by the design during the simulation period.

For ARM-based Excalibur devices, the total power calculation also includes the estimated Excalibur stripe power, which is derived from the clock frequencies of the AHB1/AHB2 and DPRAM buses operating under worst-case conditions. The estimated power consumption is reported in the Summary section of the Simulation Report. This option is available only for timing simulation on APEX 20KE, APEX 20KC, ARM-based Excalibur, Mercury, and Stratix devices.
