Report Window

LAB Column Interconnect Section (Compilation Report)

Displays information about the LAB column interconnect, which routes signals throughout a column of MegaLAB structures (in APEX 20K, APEX II, and ARM®-based Excalibur devices) or LABs (in ACEX® 1K, FLEX® 6000, FLEX 10KE, and Mercury devices).

If you are using an APEX 20K or ARM-based Excalibur device, the section displays the number of lines, which includes those lines used as half-lines (that is, lines that traverse half of the device in a vertical direction) used by the LAB column interconnects, which are part of the FastTrack® interconnect.

If you are using an APEX II device, the section displays the number of line segments (which include half-lines) that are used in the LAB column interconnect channels, which are part of the FastTrack interconnect.

If you are using a ACEX 1K, FLEX 6000, or FLEX 10KE device, the section displays the number of lines used in the LAB column interconnects.

If you are using a Mercury device, the section displays the number of lines and half-lines used in the LAB column interconnects. The lines in these devices are separate entities from the half-lines.

Information is provided as follows for APEX 20K and ARM-based Excalibur devices:

Heading Description
MegaLAB Col. Shows the MegaLAB column number where the LAB column interconnect is located.
Col. Shows the LAB column interconnect number. This LAB column interconnect is located within the specified MegaLAB column.
Lines Available Shows the total number of column interconnect lines available for use by signals in the design.
Lines Used Shows the actual number and the percentage of column interconnect lines used by signals in the design.
Half-Lines Used Shows the actual number and the percentage of column interconnect half-lines used by signals in the design.

Information is provided as follows for APEX II devices:

Heading Description
MegaLAB Col. Shows the MegaLAB column number where the LAB column interconnect is located.
Col. Shows the LAB column interconnect channel number. This LAB column interconnect is located within the specified MegaLAB column.
Line Segments Used Shows the actual number and percentage of column interconnect lines used by signals in the design.

Information is provided as follows for ACEX 1K, FLEX 6000, and FLEX 10KE devices:

Heading Description
