To locate a node in the Last Compilation floorplan, Current Assignments floorplan, or the Timing Closure floorplan:  More Details

1. If you have not already done so, open an existing project.

2. Compile a design entity or the project.

3. If you want to select the node in a waveform file:

   1. Open a waveform file.

   2. Select the entire node you want to locate in the waveform file.

4. If you want to select the node in the Node Finder:

   1. Open the Node Finder.

   2. Perform a node name search.

   3. In the Node Finder dialog box (View menu), select the node name you want to locate in the Nodes Found list.

5. If you want to locate the node in the read-only Last Compilation floorplan, choose Locate in Last Compilation Floorplan (Project menu). Shortcut

   or

   If you want to locate the node in the editable Current Assignments floorplan, choose Locate in Current Assignments Floorplan (Project menu).  Shortcut

   or

   If you want to locate the node in the editable Timing Closure floorplan, choose Locate in Timing Closure Floorplan (Project menu). Shortcut

To locate a node in the design file:

1. If you have not already done so, open an existing project.

2. Compile a design entity or the project.

3. Open a waveform file.

   or

   Open the Node Finder.

4. If you have the Node Finder open, perform a node name search.

5. Select the entire node you want to locate in the design file.

   or

   In the Node Finder dialog box (View menu), select the node name you want to locate in the Nodes Found list.

6. Choose Locate in Design File (Project menu).  Shortcut

To locate source information for a design entity in the Last Compilation floorplan, the Current Assignments floorplan, the Timing Closure floorplan, or the design file:

1. If you have not already done so, open an existing project.

2. Compile a design entity or the project.

3. If necessary, open the Project Navigator.

4. Click the Hierarchies or Design Units tab.

5. Select the design entity for which you want to view source information.

6. If you want to locate the source information in a read-only Last Compilation floorplan, choose Locate in Last Compilation Floorplan (Project menu).  Shortcut

   or

   If you want to locate the source information in the editable Current Assignments floorplan, choose Locate in Current Assignments Floorplan (Project menu).  Shortcut

   or

   If you want to locate the source information in the editable Timing Closure floorplan, choose Locate in Timing Closure Floorplan (Project menu). Shortcut

   or

   If you want to locate the source information in the design file, choose Locate in Design File (Project menu).  Shortcut
