To insert a symbol in a Block Design File (.bdf):

1. If you have not already done so, open a BDF.

2. Choose Insert Symbol (Edit menu).  Shortcut  

3. If necessary, turn on Insert symbol as block.

4. To select the name of the symbol, in the Libraries list, click the + icon to expand the directory that contains the symbol you want to insert or, under Name, type a symbol name in the box.

   or

   Select the symbol file with Browse (...).

5. To insert multiple copies of the symbol, turn on Repeat-insert mode.

6. If you want to launch the MegaWizard^® Plug-In Manager automatically when a MegaWizard Plug-In is available for the selected megafunction, turn on Launch MegaWizard Plug-In.

7. To create or edit a custom megafunction variation, click MegaWizard Plug-In Manager and follow the steps in the wizard.

8. Click OK.

9. To insert the symbol in the Block Editor window, click the insertion point.

10. To insert multiple copies of the symbol, click the Insert Symbol pointer at the insertion points.

11. To stop repeat-inserting if you turned on Repeat-insert mode, press Esc.

    or

    Right-click the file and choose Cancel (right button pop-up menu).
