To find text in the Block Editor or the Symbol Editor:

1. Open an existing Block Design File (.bdf) or Block Symbol File (.bsf), or create a new BDF or BSF.

2. Select the object where you want the search to begin in the Block or Symbol Editor file. If you want the search to begin at the beginning of the file, do not select an object.  More Details

3. Choose Find (Edit menu).  Shortcut

4. If necessary, type the search text in the Find what box, including optional wildcard and/or special characters.

5. If necessary, turn on one or more of the following options:

• Match case
• Find whole words only

• Use regular expressions

6. Select a search direction in the Search list.

7. To specify the location of the search, turn on one or more of the following options under Find in:

• Node & bus names
• Pin, symbol & block text
• Assignments
• Comments
• All

8. Click Find Next.

9. If necessary, click Find Next again to find the next instance of the search text.

10. To end the search, click Cancel.
