Directs the Software Builder to use the GNUPro for ARM^® or GNUPro for NIOS C/C++ preprocessor on the Assembly Files (.s, .asm) that you are using to generate a Binary File (.bin), Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) File (.hex), Library File (.a), or Motorola S-Record File (.srec). The Software Builder uses the C/C++ preprocessor on the Assembly Files before it uses a software toolset assembler on the files.

If you select Custom build in the Software toolset list in the CPU page of the Settings dialog box (Assignments menu), this option is dimmed to indicate that it is not available.
