Specifies the directory and file name for the output file that the Software Builder generates during a software build. By default, the file directory name is the same as the current software build settings name, the file name is the same as the current project's name, and the file name extension is the extension for the file type you specified in the Output file format list in the CPU page of the Settings dialog box (Assignments menu).

If you select Custom build in the Software toolset list in the CPU page, this option is dimmed to indicate that it is not available.
