Overview: Triggering the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer

"Triggering" the SignalTap® II Logic Analyzer is the process of halting signal acquisition after a particular logic event occurs. It is not necessary for every trigger to capture data. Because a trigger is a single signal, an entire bus of signals cannot be a trigger. You can define the "logic event" as the occurrence of a single pattern in the data sampled by the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer. The SignalTap II Logic Analyzer allows you to define trigger levels, set the trigger position, and enable a trigger input and/or trigger output signal.
