3. Perform a Timing Verification with the BLAST Software



You can use the Innoveda BLAST timing analysis software to perform timing verification of a board-level design after importing the Stamp model for the design into the BLAST software.

To import a Stamp model into the BLAST software and perform a timing verification:

  1. If you have not already done so, perform 2. Create Stamp Model Files with the Quartus® II Software.

  2. To run the pt2blast utility from within the \<project>\timing\stamp directory, type pt2blast ENTER at the command prompt.

  3. To create a <design name>_board.lib file, select the <design name>_board.mod file in the PrimeTime Model File window and click Translate. The <design name>_board.mod dialog box displays the .lib file which can be used in the BLAST software to perform timing verification of a board-level design. Click Dismiss.

  4. NOTE The PrimeTime Model File window lists all of the .mod files in the \<project>\timing\stamp directory, and the PrimeTime Model Data File window lists all the .data files in the \<project>\timing\stamp directory.

  5. Perform timing verification of the design in the BLAST software.
