Build a Register File/Barrel Shifter in MOSIS Scn08hp/Scn12hp Technology


Memory Builder is a graphical design capture system released by  Mentor Graphics  that is used to design and develop reusable,regular-structured macro blocks such as RAMS,ROMs,and register files. This website provides you the necessary leaf cells and floorplan to build a register file/barrel shifter of any size in  MOSIS Scn08hp/Scn12hp Technology. Before you download the file, make sure that Memory Builder software has been set up on your machine.

Downloading Instructions

You need to go to the download site, select the file regfile (scn08hp) or regfile (scn12hp)bshifter(scn08hp) and submit the download request. This will automatically download a compressed tar file to your machine which you can unpack with the instructions below.

Unpacking the Download

After downloading, you can unpack the download anywhere you like with the following command:
  1. uncompress  mb_scn08hp.tar.Z(or mb_scn12hp.tar.Z or b_shifter.tar.Z).
  2. tar xvf   mb_scn08hp.tar.

This will create a directory builder_scn08hp/(or builder_scn12hp/ or b_shifter/),containing several directories and files. The README file will tell you what they are and how to use them to build a register file/barrel shifter.
