The Report window provides information about the compilation or simulation of the current design.

The Compilation Report window displays text, charts, tables, and a read-only Floorplan view that show how a project is implemented in a device. The compilation Report window includes information on Compiler settings, resource usage, and compilation equations. If you perform timing analyses on the current design, the Report window also includes timing information.

The Simulation Report window displays tables, a read-only simulation Waveform, and the contents of any logical memory structures in the design.

Both the Compilation and Simulation Report windows also provide the following information:

• Altera^® legal information
• Project settings
• Messages for the compilation or simulation
• The settings for the compilation or simulation
• The amount of time spent on each module or sub-module during the compilation or simulation

The Compiler and Simulator also generate ASCII and HTML versions of the Report window.
