The HTML version of the Report window. Like the Report window, the HTML-Format Report File (.htm or .html) displays information about the compilation of Compiler settings or simulation of Simulator settings. If you perform timing analyses, the HTML-Format Report File for the compilation will include the timing analyses information.

To generate an HTML-Format Report File, turn on Automatically generate HTML-Format Report File (.htm) after compilation or simulation in the Processing tab of the Options dialog box (Tools menu).

An HTML-Format Report File contains the same sections that are displayed in the Report window, except for the following:

• Floorplan View section (Compilation Report)
• Simulation Waveforms section (Simulation Report)
• Logical Memories section (Simulation Report)

In addition, any charts in the Report window sections are converted into tables in the HTML-Format Report File. The order of the HTML-Format Report File follows the order of the Report Window Contents.

The HTML-Format Report File for a Compilation Report uses the .csf.htm or .csf.html file name extension. The HTML-Format Report File for a Simulation Report uses the .ssf.htm or .ssf.html file name extension.

If you stop a compilation or simulation, the HTML-Format Report File contains only the information generated prior to the point at which you halted the compilation or simulation.

You can open the HTML-Format Report File in the Quartus^® II software or with any HTML browser.
