To specify a design entity as the compilation focus:

1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

2. If necessary, open the Project Navigator.

3. Click the Hierarchies tab.  More Details

4. Right-click the entity you want to set as the compilation focus, and choose Set Compiler Focus to Current Entity (right button pop-up menu).
