JTAG Server can't access selected programming hardware

CAUSE:

The Quartus II software cannot find the specified programming hardware. This message can occur for one of the following reasons:

  • The programming hardware is not at the location specified in the Hardware Settings tab of the Hardware Setup dialog box, which you can open by clicking Setup in the Programmer window.

  • Another process is using the programming hardware.

  • The power to the board is off.

  • You did not properly install the hardware driver (Windows NT only).
ACTION: Make sure that the programming hardware is at the location specified in the Hardware Setup dialog box, that another process is not using the programming hardware, that power to the board is on, and that you properly installed the hardware driver (Windows NT only). If the problem persists, contact Altera Applications for assistance.
