Memory Editor

Overview: Using the Memory Size Wizard

NOTE You can also specify the number and size of words in the Number of Words & Word Size dialog box that appears each time you create a new Memory Initialization File (.mif) or Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) File (.hex). To specify the default number and size of words in a MIF or HEX File, you can change the Memory Editor general options.

The Memory Size wizard helps you to change the number and size of words in a MIF or HEX File.

After you create or open a MIF or HEX File, you can choose Memory Size Wizard (Tools menu) and follow the steps in the wizard to change the word size, specify how existing words should be changed, and change the number of words. When you click Finish, the changes you specified appear in the current MIF or HEX File.
