Inserting & Paste Inserting Cells



To insert one or more memory cells with a content value of 0 (zero):

  1. If you have not already done so, open or create a Memory Initialization File (.mif) or Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) File (.hex).

    or

    Open the embedded memory at a simulation breakpoint.

  2. Select one or more memory cells before which you would like to insert one or more new cells.

  3. To insert the same number of cells as you have selected, each with a value of 0, choose Insert Cells (Edit menu).  Shortcut  More Details


To copy one or more memory cells and insert them:

  1. If you have not already done so, open or create a Memory Initialization File (.mif) or Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) File (.hex).

    or

    Open the embedded memory at a simulation breakpoint.

  2. Select the cells that you want to copy and insert.

  3. Choose Copy (Edit menu).  Shortcut

  4. Select the memory cell before which you would like to insert the copied cells.
