Display Status Bar

Displays the status bar at the bottom of the Quartus® II window. When you point to a button on a toolbar or tool palette, or highlight a menu command with the mouse or the keyboard, the status bar displays a brief description of that item's function.

The right side of the status bar includes SignalTap® II Logic Analyzer Indicator icons, as well as a Compiler Status Indicator (in Compile mode) or a Simulator Status Indicator (in Simulate mode). The Compiler Status or Simulator Status Indicator displays the progress (as a percentage) and the time spent—in days (if more than 24 hours pass), hours, minutes, and seconds—of the total compilation or simulation.

During simulation, the Simulator Status Indicator also displays the current simulation time (that is, the length of the elapsed simulation beginning at the time value entered in the Start Time box and ending at the time value entered in the End Time box). The current simulation time is displayed to the right of the progress and time information for the total simulation.

In addition, when the Simulator is at a breakpoint, the display bar displays, "Simulator Waiting. . . ."

When neither the Compiler nor the Simulator is running, the status bar displays, "Compiler Idle" or "Simulator Idle".
