More Details About Manipulating Dockable Windows

If you turn on Enable Docking (right button pop-up menu), the selected dockable window floats anywhere on the desktop until you dock the window. In addition, the dockable window in its floating state is always at the front of the desktop.

If you turn on Restrict to Main Window (right button pop-up menu), the selected dockable window floats only in the main Quartus® II window and it behaves like any other document window open in the Quartus II software. Accordingly, you can move other floating windows to the front of the desktop.

However, if you turn on both Enable Docking and Restrict to Main Window, the latter command supercedes. Accordingly, you cannot dock the dockable window, but you can move other floating windows to the front of the desktop.

If you choose Close (right button pop-up menu), the selected dockable window will be hidden.
