In their default states, the file and project names include the extensions of supported file types. If the file extensions are hidden in the Quartus^® II software, however, you can display the file extensions using the Windows Explorer software. Turn off Hide file extensions for known file types, which is located in the View tab (Options command), click Apply, and then click OK. When you restart the Quartus II software, the file extensions are displayed.
