To specify block properties on the I/O tab (Block Properties command):

1. If you have not already done so, open or create a Block Design File (.bdf).

2. Select the appropriate block.

3. Choose Properties (Edit menu).  Shortcut

4. In the Block Properties dialog box, click the Parameters tab.

5. To specify the name of the parameter, under Parameter, select or type the name in the Name list.

6. To specify the parameter setting, under Parameter, select or type the value in the Settings list.

7. For your purposes, add a description in the Description box.

8. To add the new parameter that you specify under Parameter to the Existing parameter settings list, click Add.

9. To assign a new setting and description for an existing parameter to the Existing parameter settings list, specify the new value in the Settings list and the new description in the Description box, and click Change.

10. To delete a parameter, select a parameter from the Existing parameter settings list and click Delete.

11. Click any other tab to specify more block properties or click OK.
