STP

Trigger Out

Allows you to enable the trigger output signal for the selected instance in order to synchronize external test equipment or another instance to an internal trigger event in the SignalTap® II Logic Analyzer. You must use an unconnected I/O pin to connect the external test equipment to the trigger output signal.

The trigger output pin is named auto_stp_trigger_out_0 by default, where 0 represents the instance number. However, you can rename the trigger output pin.

You can set the trigger output to generate a positive or negative signal in the Level list. The signal will stay at that level until the end of acquisition. The trigger output signal level changes four clock cycles after trigger occurs.

Condition Description
Active High Trigger output signal changes from low to high four clock cycles after trigger occurs.
Active Low Trigger output signal changes from high to low four clock cycles after trigger occurs.
